# Keeping yourself safe

Safety: devices, personal data, wellbeing, and the environment.

7 screens, about three minutes. Pictures, almost no words.

## Four things, not one.

*Picture: One large box labelled you with four small boxes around it.*

Safety online is usually taught as passwords only.

## The device.

*Picture: A laptop with an amber padlock on it.*

Locked, up to date, and yours.

## Your details are worth something.

*Picture: A dashed frame labelled things about you holding four boxes: your name, where you live, your birthday, your health.*

Somebody wants them. That is why they are asked for.

## How you feel counts too.

*Picture: Two panels. On the left a person and a phone close together. On the right the same person and phone apart, the person in green.*

The framework says so. Most training leaves it out.

## And it uses something.

*Picture: A box labelled one hour of video with an arrow to a box labelled electricity.*

Every file you keep sits on a machine somewhere, running.

## Do today

Check that the device you are reading this on locks itself when you put it down.
